Jan-Willem Rombouts co-founded REstore and serves as its co-CEO after a career at Goldman Sachs where he last served as Executive Director of Credit Trading Strategy. He brings expertise in quantitative modeling and software development. At REstore Jan-Willem leads the product innovation, technology development and trading activities. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from NYU and a graduate certificate in Data Mining and Applications from Stanford University.

Prior to co-founding REstore in 2010, Pieter-Jan Mermans worked as a case manager at Arthur D. Little and PwC, where he contributed to developing BU strategies and Post Merger Integration work in the Power & Petrochemicals sectors. At REstore, Pieter-Jan serves as a co-CEO, leading the business expansion and driving Regulatory Affairs. He holds a M.Sc. in Commercial Engineering from University of Antwerp and a M.Sc. in Financial Economics from University of Leuven.
Wim De Naeyer
Chief financial officer
Wim De Naeyer is a Maître en Gestion - Option Finance (University Paris IX Dauphine, 1996), an international taxation graduate from ESSF/Ichec Brussels and a Business Analysis graduate (Lancaster University, 1997). After several years at PWC Brussels in audit and at the corporate finance department of BNP Paribas Brussels, he worked for more than 12 years with Altice/Numericable/Coditel/Completel in France, Belgium and Luxembourg as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director. Wim represents Wissa BVBA.

Tom is a senior software engineer with a civil engineering degree from KULeuven, Belgium. Tom held positions as a software engineer and team leader with several companies in the utility banking/insurance and engineering sectors including IBM-SKillteam and Altran CIS. Tom represents Nubium BVBA.

Geert Ramault has a solid commercial and business development track record over 15 years in the energy and technology sector in both Europe and the Americas. He joined REstore in its early days and helped kick-start its commercial roll-out and rapid market expansion that propelled the company to its current industry-leading position. Prior to REstore, he held management positions in several early-stage high-tech companies and led multiple high-performance teams in various countries. Geert received his MSc in Electrical Engineering from Ghent University and holds an MBA from Vlerick Business School.
executive vice-president sourcing & sales Germany & Belgium
Dirk comes from Germany and brings to REstore more than 16 years' experience in the energy industry and 12 years in industrial automation. He knows the German energy market and business with large industrial consumers following his work in sales for EnBW and EDF. Most recently, he was responsible at EnBW AG for the development of new business areas in energy efficiency, electric mobility, smart home and decentralised energy systems. Prior to his time in the energy sector, he worked as project manager and sales representative in charge of industrial automation at Siemens, ABB and Philips. At REstore he is responsible for the development of business activities in Germany. He trained as an engineer with a degree in Plant Operations Engineering from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
Bart has a very deep knowledge of industrial automation systems and processes both on the operational and technology side. Over the past 10 years he has been designing new technologies with numerous companies in different sectors including AGV systems, robotics, servo and vision technologies. At REstore he is responsible for the software that runs on Flextract.
Renaud holds a PhD in Physics and has been analysing data for 10 years within large particle physics research collaborations at CERN, Switzerland. As part of the REstore analytics team, Renaud specialises in data science and predictive analytics.
Over the past 15 years, Guillaume has held various positions within the energy sector that give him multiple perspectives on industry as a consultant, purchaser and energy supplier. He brings to REstore solid technical and sales skills around buying and selling energy and reducing consumption using M2M (machine-to-machine) devices. He has always lived in France, but has worked for the Belgian and Swiss energy markets.

Helen brings more than 20 years of business development and sales experience from the technology, renewable energy and industrial IoT sectors. Previously, she served as Senior Director of Strategic Alliances at Silver Spring Networks, a leading smart grid and IoT networking company based in Silicon Valley. She also managed sales for Bosch Solar Energy, North America and was a co-founder of Walkwire, an internet solutions company.
Sylvie Van den Bosch
Sylvie Van den Bosch has a Masters in Communication Sciences and is bilingual in Dutch and French with good English skills. After extensive experience in the construction and real estate world, she joined the Belgian subsidary of startup SoftAtHome, part of the Orange group, where she was in charge of facilities and human resources administration. More recently she worked at USG Professionals (USG People) as personal assistant to the CEO.
Geert has in depth knowledge of the energy markets and associated regulations. He has held energy management positions over the past 10 years in companies such as Umicore, Tessenderlo Chemie, and INEOS where was responsible for energy supply contracts, regulations, and demand side management within these large energy intensive companies.
Korneel van den Broek
Korneel has a strong analytics background with a Masters in Engineering Physics from Ghent University and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Rutgers University, USA. He built up financial modelling experience as Head of Design - Risks Models at AG Insurance in Brussels. Subsequently he joined the Risk Practice of McKinsey & Company in Zurich supporting international banking and insurance companies with their risk, strategy and M&A business decisions.
Before joining REstore, Romain spent the past five years as a regulator, deeply involved in demand side response, both at the national level in France and at the European level as co-chair of a regulation task force on the topic. Thanks to this experience, Romain brings to REstore a strong regulator background that will help him to push the boundaries and get an effective level playing field for demand side response across Europe.
Prior to joining REstore, Jan held several positions in wide-format digital printing, focusing on market release for new products and third line support. He brings extensive experience in European field operations for high technology companies.
After obtaining a PhD in theoretical physics on quantum computation theory, Brecht moved to the banking and insurance industry where he held positions in risk management, project management and front office quant teams. At REstore, he leverages this experience to optimise and risk manage REstore's portfolio of flexible power.
Rob has in-depth knowledge of Demand Response Programmes, Energy Efficiency and Smart Grid Solutions across multiple industrial and commercial sectors. For the past seven years he has delivered solutions specifically for large commercial building space, steel and paper manufacturing, air separation and Chemical Production. He was responsible for energy performance contracts, energy retrofit and demand side management solution development at both Honeywell Building Solutions and with Low Carbon Network funded projects.
Charles-Sébastien has six years of experience in energy-efficiency project management within different french start-up companies. Charles joined REstore's Paris office in 2015 and is responsible for the promotion of DSM (Demand-Side Management) solutions as well as power-load flexibility with industrial consumers.
